So Friday morning I got up early and interviewed for my first job. It was a very informal process, and before I knew it, I was being told some of the really cool (and less cool) stuff I’d be doing. This included researching for price comparisons with other cable companies, working on PARs where I call and make sure the cable company is working satisfactorily, and visiting new properties to try to sell the cable packages (which is the cool part because it includes the company putting me up in a hotel and paying for my meals).
Then, I went home and rushed around and got ready for graduation. I wasn’t really excited or nervous. In the days leading up, I was more anxious to change my facebook education to Northeastern. But I was super eager to see my girlies (aka Michele, Holly, Maria, and Alyza)!
Everyone rushed around at the Fairgrounds expo center trying to pin on a stupid collar thing in addition to a bunch of cords, an IB thingy, an NHS thingy, and a medal. Everyone was wearing super tall heals (while I was wearing sandals), so I kind of freaked out about that.
During the actual graduation, things worth remembering are the alarmingly loud stomp that was made by the class of 2012 during the singing of the Alma Mater, Adit’s hilarious speech (if you know him), and getting high fived by Mr. Traill before receiving my diploma.
Afterwords, I got to see my seniors (and yes, I still call the kids in the class of 2011 my seniors) and they gave me flowers. It was super difficult to find my family, and a bunch of people I wanted to see left really quickly. But I did get a picture with Ms. Cover, who I love and will miss.
Then we went to Seasons 52. While we waited for our table, we took pictures on the dock. Everyone stared at us. We ate yummy food and (of course) the coolest desserts.
Probably the best part of the night was getting my presents. My friends know me so well. Michele got me a sack of potatoes!!! I KNOW!!! It was because the other night, Maria asked me what my favorite flower was and I said potato. Also, there was a perfect moment in the night when I thought the restaurant had run out of potatoes, and I nearly screamed. She supplemented the already perfect gift with a giftcard to Barnes and Noble.
Holly got me something that only a few of the people who read my blog will understand. She got me a Hanklerfished copy of The Fault in Our Stars. This means so much to me because I searched desperately and hopelessly for this rare find back in January. I love the vlogbrothers and I love Holly.
Over all, it was a perfect day.
Then, I went to Project Graduation and I am still trying to get back to normalcy.
